Watson, Thomas, and Brown performances rank high nationally

Sammy Watson of Rush-Henrietta lowered her 1000m time to 2:48.05 to lead the state and is ranked 2nd in the nation to Kate Murphy of Virginia.

Kelly Brown of Wilson Magnet lowered his state leading 55m Hurdles time to 7.33 to rank 4th in the nation.

Lanae-Tava Thomas of Rush-Henrietta won the 55m in 7.03 and her 6.90 from Dec.30 is number 1 in the state and nation. 

Terry Taylor of Greece Olympia raised his SVSB and state leading mark in the pole vault from 14-1 to 14-3.

Donny Glavin of McQuaid Jesuit ran a 9:27.95 two-mile at the Ocean Breeze High School Invitational in Staten Island NYC.  His time is faster than Nick Neamtu’s Section V leading 3200, and the 2 mile is about 14 meters longer.  Glavin ranks 3rd in the state for the 2 mile.

Rush-Henrietta’s Girls 4x400 team of Fowler, Thomas, Thompson and Watson ran a 3:56.20 for the SVSB, 3rd ranking in the state, and missed the 2009 Wilson Magnet all-time Section V Indoor Record by just 0.31 seconds.

Rush-Henrietta’s Boys 4x400 team of Daniels, Taddesse, Campbell and Dalfonso also set a SVSB with a 3:33.65

Aubrianna Lantrip of Midlakes high jumped 5-5.5 for a SVSB and New York State 7th ranking.

Anthony Ray of Batavia threw the weight 53-10.5 for the SVSB and NYS16.

Natalie Neamtu of Webster Thomas ran an SVSB in the 1500 of 4:45.89 for NYS19.  This pushed Watson out of the top Section V season ranking for the 1500, leaving Watson with just the SVSB in the 300, 600 and 1000.
