Penfield Boys only Section V team

Federation Championships, the state meet that includes the other half of the state's population (New York City) and everyone competes in the same race no matter what size school.  The only team that qualified to represent Section V was the Penfield boys who took 17th place.

Sammy Watson of Rush-Henrietta built on her NYSPHSSA success with a 3rd place behind Kelsey Chmiel of Saratoga Springs and Katelyn Tuohy of North Rockland (who also took 1-2 in NYSPHSAA compiled results).  Madeleine Shellard of Irondequoit was the next Section V finisher at 12th coming in ahead of Haleigh Palotti of Livonia at 15th reversing their finishing order at NYSPHSAA merged results. Bailey Pierce of Rush-Henrietta rounded out the top 40 medalists.

Noah Carey who had been favored to win at NYSPHSAA got the win at Federations.  Ryan Thompson, sophomore, of Irondequoit was Section V's top finiisher at 15th, ahead of Tyler Senall of Penfield (26th) for the first time. Paul Sulfiat of Greece Arcadia also moved up in Section V standings taking 29th overall ahead of Payton Gleason of Churchville-Chili at 37th.
