MONROE http://results.yentiming.com/2013/outdoor/5-18-13-Monroe.htm

Boys - Greece Olympia 103, Greece Athena 62, Rush-Henrietta 62

Girls – Penfield 66.5, Hilton 66

For Greece Olympia Desmond Mobley won the long jump, high jump AND… the 110 hurdles.  Craig Hardgers  took 2nd’s in the long and triple jumps, 4th in the high, and was in the 100m.

Brian Smith of Greece Athena won the 100 and 200.  Smith leads the state in both the 100 and 200, he improved his season best in the 200 to 21.16.

Rush-Henrietta’s boys  won the 4x100M, 4x800, and Mickey Burke chased down Andrew Mullen of Brighton to take the 800M.

Penfield Girls win was really a team effort with only one win, Katie Lembo in the 1500m.  The rest of the points were well spread out among the team.

Hilton Girls didn’t have a star athlete or two score a lot of points either,  but they had a great event in the pole vault with the win and school record by Zoe Camillaci (11-9), Sarah Pirnie in 3rd, and freshmen Taylor Haude in 7th.

Maddie Kopp of Spencerport won the 100-200-400, just like at His-Hers and Saturday Night Showdown.

Race of the day was the boys 1600m.  32 of the 36 runners had their season best race.  All-County (and top 4 boys in Section V) were Keith Pease Athena 4:14.37, Will Ronchetti Brighton 4:16.36, Tyler Ranke Hilton 4:20.11, Jack Wesley Pittsford Mendon 4:20.81.

Big weekend for the 400 with Denzel Knight of Brockport (49.10), Carnell Nobel of Greece Olympia (49.87) and over at the Roesch Memorial Invitational Josh Hanna of Aquinas (49.99) all breaking 50.

Ryan Cribbin of West Irondequoit threw a Section V leading mark of 54-04 in the shot put.

Fairport Girls 4x400 set a Section V leading mark in the 4x400m with a 4:05.05.

Valerie Palermo of Webster Schroeder lowered her section v leading 2000m steeple to 6:55.84.

Natalie Meyer of Pittsford Mendon scored 2664 to win the pentathlon, and considering that Karmen Auble of Warsaw won't be doing the pent at Meet of Champions/State Q's, Meyer is the favorite to win.
