Monroe County Championships

Rush-Henrietta Girls win by 1 point over Penfield 102-101

Greece Olympia Boys win with 75

Jenna Berry of Pittsford Mendon high jumps 5-5 (ties Midlakes Lantrip for ranking 7th in state)

Christian Johnson of Victor sets SVSBs in both Discus and Shot Put

A lot of Section V Season Bests were set including:

Christian Johnson in both the discus, 160-0, NYS-9, and the shot put, 54-0.5, NYS-10

Anthony Clark of Gates-Chili  in the 110 hurdles, 14.59, NYS-8

Britney Swarthout of Penfield  in the 400 hurdles, 63.66, NYS-8

Harper Stewart of Penfield in the Pentathlon, 2896 NYS-9

Anna Kostarellis of Churchville-Chili in the 2000 Steeple, 7:02.28, NYS-9

Calvary Rogers of Greece Athena in the 400m, 48.94, NYS-11

Adonis Davis of Batavia in the high jump, 6-4, NYS-13 (tie) (SVSB is 6-4.5 by Hines of Sodus)

Darcy Deangelis of Spencerport in the triple jump, 37-0.5, NYS-14

Melissa Tylock of Penfield in the 1500m Racewalk, 7:38.40, NYS-14

Rush-Henrietta’s Boys 4x800 relay team of Noah Taddesse, Ryan Yuhas, Mehammed Aburahim and Paul Henry , 8:04.49, NYS-19

Tremaine Moore of Greece-Olympia in the Long Jump, 21-9.75, NYS-26

Isaac Goodman of Pittsford Mendon in the 3200, 9:31.41, NYS-32, (to go along with his 1600 SVSB of 4:23.77 from last week at Marion, NYS-38).

Lanae-Tava Thomas and Tori Thompson of Rush-Henrietta swept the 100 and 200.

 

Wayne-Fingerlakes League Championships

Justin Sanders-Schifano of Sodus wins 100, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles and comes within an inch of a SVSB in the long jump with a 18-05.5, NYS-10

Aubrianna Lantrip of Midlakes high jumps 5-5 for SVSB and 7th best in state, also wins triple jump.

Andrew Hines of Sodus high jumps 6-4.5 for SVSB and 12th best in state.

Wayne Central Girls win a close one over Palymyra-Macedeon

Dundee takes the Boys Championship

Eddie Ely of Palmyra-Macedon wins 400 and 800.

Dawson Bathgate of East Rochester wins 1600 and 3200.

 

RCAC

McQuaid won Boys, School of the Arts won Girls

McQuaid’s Boys 4x400 won with a SVSB of 3:24.34

8th grader Destiny Smith of World of Inquiry won the 100 and 200

9th grader Carina Giannini of SOTA won the 1500 and 3000

 

Genesee Region Championships

Pembroke Girls won a squeaker over Byron-Bergen-Elba 122-119

Oakfield-Alabama-Elba won over Byron-Bergen-Elba 151.50-132

Alex Hogue off Wheatland-Chili wond the 1600, 3200 and took second in the 800

Freshmen Grace Kibler of Attica won the 2000 Steeplechase at 7:37.50

 

Livingston County Championships

Everett Gieger of Caledonia-Mumford won the 1600 and 3200

Ryan McQuillen of LeRoy wins triple jump and long jump

Jack Bates of Haverling won the pole vault at 13’7”

 

Steuben County Championships

Alfred-Almond dominated the boys meet winning with 194 points.

Alfred-Almond  had a lot more competition on the girls side winning with 126 points over Addison 120 and Canisteo-Greenwood 107
