Parents: Bev, Mike. Season highlights: Won three events at "AA" sectionals (800, 1:58.36; 1,600 relay, 3:27.00; 3,200 relay, 8:05.89). Won twice at state qualifier (800, 1:54.99; 1,600 relay, 3:25.93). Sixth at states in D-I 800 (1:54.52), ninth in 1,600 relay (3:22.76). Academics: 92 average. Favorite subject biology. Future plans: Attending SUNY Geneseo to major in biochemistry. About me: Six-time AGR selection in three seasons. Future plans: Attending Alfred State with a probable major in the humanities. About me: Wide receiver and defensive back in football. Lists football teammate Korey Beasley as his favorite athlete. Says "being able to teach a child something new and fun is the most rewarding thing for me."

Ryan Cribbin, Irondequoit

Parents: Christine and Patrick. Season highlights: Overall state D-I and Federation shot put champion (57-4½). Won state qualifier (49-1). Won sectional "AA" title in 51-1¼ and won discus at 151-2, earning field events MVP award. Best discus throw was 157-1 in league meet April 5. Third in D-I discus at state qualifier (139-11). Broke school records in both events. Academics: 93 average. Favorite subject science. Future plans: Undecided. About me: Works summers in food service at the Seneca Park Zoo. Also plays varsity soccer.

Max Curran, Williamson

Parents: Robin and Michael. Season highlights: Eighth overall at states with area's top vault of season (14 feet), second in D-II. Won D-II state qualifier (13-2), won "CC" sectionals (13-9). Also has competed in 400 (54.24), 400 hurdles (1:00.54), triple jump (37-2½) and 1,600 relay. Future plans: Undecided. About me: Enjoys paintballing and distance running, for leisure and competition (cross country in the fall). Says his older brother, Alex, and his dad have contributed to his success. Favorite athlete is retired Ukrainian pole vaulter and Olympic gold medalist Sergei Bubka.

Parents: Lori Fuller and Michael Erb. Season highlights: Fourth in D-I states in 3,000 steeplechase (9:32.10), sixth in Federations. Won sectional "A" title (9:58.00) and state qualifier (9:31.50, area's best time and his career best). Academics: 90 average. Future plans: Attending Syracuse University on scholarship to study psychology and accounting. About me: Has been called MJ (Michael John) since preschool. Enjoys Ultimate Frisbee and basketball. Credits his older brother, Justin, as a big influence in his life. Favorite athletes are Galen Rupp and Andrew Wheating.

Won state qualifier (3,421), winning three individual events (110 hurdles, long jump, shot put). Won sectional "AA" 110 hurdles (14.81) and triple jump (45-¾). Academics: 90 average. Future plans: Attending University of Connecticut to study pre-kinesiology. About me: Named All-American in indoor pentathlon. Enjoys motocross, soccer, football and basketball. Third in 1,600 at "A" sectionals (4:21.25). Won Fleet Feet Distance Runner of the Year Award. Academics: 3.98 grade point average. Future plans: Considering Harvard, MIT and Duke to study economics and biochemistry. About me: Member of the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra as a concert pianist for four years. Won D-I 200 at state qualifier (22.57), second in 100 (11.13). Won 100 (10.82), 200 (21.88), 400 (49.08) and ran on winning 400 relay (43.38) at "AA" sectionals. Academics: 82 average. Future plans: Attend large college or university on a track scholarship and study criminal justice. About me: Four-time AGR selection and two-time athlete of the year was hampered by pulled hamstring suffered at Royal Comet Invitational. Section V record-holder in 300 indoors.

Years coaching varsity: 21. Age: 45. Career highlights: Team won sectional "AA" title in May. 1994 X-C boys team won "A" title. Has coached 11 state champions, three All-Americans and 2007 1,600 relay set Section V record of 3:19.59 (now second-fastest all-time) with Mike Giordano (51.2), Ben Wallace (51.2), John Picardo (48.7) and Eric Fontanez (48.1). Most accomplished athletes he's coached include high jumpers Matt Cushman and Fontanez, pentathlete Pat Meyer and steeplechaser Tyler Ranke. Family: Wife, Mary, is director of finance for Lapp Insulator. About me: Teaches physical education in the Rochester City School District.
