2014 Section V Championships

Class AA

Girls: Rush-Henrietta 161 over Penfield 96

Boys: Victor 105 over McQuaid Jesuit 76

Sammy Watson, freshmen from Rush Henrietta, broke the 27 year old meet record in the 400 with a 55.47 (SVSB) to rank 5th in the state, and won the 800 and the 4x400

Lanae-Tava Thomas,  8^th grader from Rush Henrietta, won 100, 200, 4x100 and 6^th in Long Jump

Katie Lembo Penfield won 1500, 3000 and 4x800 

Calvary Rogers of Greece Athena won the 100, 200 and 4^th in the 4x400

Mickey Burke of Rush Henrietta broke the 23 year old meet record in the 1600 with a 4:13:89 to rank 6th in the state, plus 2nd in the 800 and 3rd in the 4x400

Class A

Girls: Pittsford Mendon 164 over Pittsford Sutherland 81

Boys: Greece Olympia 122 over Greece Arcadia 97

Josh Dyrland of Irondequoit won 1600, 3200, and 3000 Steeplechase (wow!)

Carnell Noble of Greece Olympia won 100, 400, 2^nd in 200, and 5^th in 4x400.

Davida Hawkes of Pittsford Sutherland won Long Jump and Triple Jump,  3^rd in 100, 4^th in 4x100

Catarra Burroughs of Wilson Magnet won the 100, 200, 3^rd in 4x100 and 3^rd in 4x100

Class B

Girls: Batavia 97.5 over Honeoye Falls-Lima 82.50

Boys: Honeoye Falls-Lima 155 over Batavia 146

Alex Egeli Batavia won 100, 200, 110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles.

Heather Andersen Penn Yan won 400 and 800 and 2^nd in 100 and 200

Class C

Girls: Letchworth 97 over Warsaw 72.50

Boys: Clyde-Savannah 87 over Letchworth 72

Karmen Auble won Pole Vault (12-0 State Leader),  Long Jump,  Shot Put,  and 2^nd in 4x100

Joey Faniel of Clyde-Savannah won 100, 200, 400 and 4x100.

DJ Ohlson of Alexander won 110 Hurdles,  High Jump (6-6.25), Long Jump 

Class CC

Girls: Wayland-Cohocton 154 over Byron-Bergen-Elba 83

Boys: LeRoy 94 over Williamson Central 88

Rubin Owens of LeRoy won High Jump (6-6), Long Jump (23-05.25 SVSB), Triple Jump (48-05.75 SVSB)

Megan Curtin of Way-Co  won the 800, 1500, 3000 and 4x400 Relay

Justin Sanders-Schifano of Sodus won 200, 400 and 2^nd in Long Jump, 2^nd in 4x100

Brent Roberts of Wellsville won the 100, 200 and was on Wellsville's meet record breaking 4x100 team 43.88 (watch out Edison and Olympia!)

Alyssa Smith of Wellsville won the Discus with 127-09 (SVSB other than Alyssa's own earlier season 134-05) and the Shot Put.

Class D

Girls: Keshequa 109 over Alfred-Almond 70

Boys: Alfred-Almond 131 over Harley-Allendale-Columbia 86

Tess Schilke of Fillmore  won 800, 1500, 4x800 and 2^nd in 4x400

Shannon Gordiner of Keshequa won 100 (12.26 SVSB), 200, 4x100

Joe Newcomb of York won Discus and 2^nd in Shot Put
