CJ Noble and Lanae-Tava Thomas both break Section V Records in 60
The Rush-Henrietta Girls Sprint Medley team of Lanae-Tava Thomas, Tori Thompson, Ceara Watson & Sammy Watson coached by Mike DeMay broke the national record of 3:53.17 set by Long Beach Poly back in 2001 with their 3:52.68.
Sammy Watson individually won the 800m to be crowned National Champion and she did it with a nation-leading, and Section V record-breaking time of 2:08.13
Lanae-Tava Thomas individually took 20th in the 60m with a 7.62 to set a new Section V record breaking the record of 7.71 set by Zila Higgs of East in 1991. (and she’s a freshmen).
Ceara Watson individually took 25th in the 400m with a 57.47.
Tori Thompson individually took 11th in the 60m Emerging Elite division with a 7.77.
Carnell Noble of Greece Olympia took 9th in the 60m with a 6.92 breaking the Section V record of 6.93 set by Maurice Jackson of Marshall in 1996.
Jimmy Shih of Webster Schroeder 16th in the triple jump at 46-09.65
Calvary Rogers of Greece Odyssey 21st in the 200 at 22.24 + 3rd in Emerging Elite 400m at 49.37
Devin Koepp of Batavia 26th in the Weight Throw at 59-01.50
Byron Hearst and Joe Mendola of Greece Arcadia 43rd and 44th in the 200 at 22.70 and 22.71 respectively.
