SECTION V SPRINTS!
Greece Athena's Brian Smith breaks his own Section V Record and wins States in 300M (34.17).That's the second State Championship for the junior, and he's potentially got three state meets to go!

Edison Tech's girl speedsters take 2nd and break the 26-year-old Section V record in the 4x200M last set by East in 1986.What an all-star cast of sprinters Edison Tech put up for this race, With Love and Stanley returning, if they can replace Billie Carroll (a tall order) they can do it again next year.Looking forward to what they do in the 4x100 this spring.

Wilson Magnet put up an all-star cast of boys sprinters to also take second and coming extremely close to breaking the Section V record in the 4x200M

Spencerport's Maddie Kopp capped a season of consistently really fast races taking 4th in the 300M with a Section V leading mark of 40.27.
Edison Tech's Boy sprinters showed up too with a 6th in the 4x400M

And we were represented in the Boys 55M Final by Brandon VanderBrook of Marion with a 7th (6.55).
SECTION V JUMPS!
Two members of that Wilson Magnet relay team also medaled in the Long Jump with Donovan Wallace taking 2nd (22-5.5) and Ismail El-Amin taking 4th(22-4.75) On top of that high jump medalist Desmond Mobley of Greece Olympia took 7th(21-6.5).
We scored a ton of points in the high jump for both boys and girls.
In the boys Greece Olympia's Desmond Mobley and Wayne's Mike Morgan tied for 2nd at 6-7.For the girls Rush Henrietta's Victoria Shaffer takes 2nd with a 5-5, with Marion's Mackenzie Sturtz taking 4th (5-5) and Fairport's Amanda Burkey taking 7th (5-2).
In the Triple Jump our boys took 2nd and 3rd, with end-of-season surprise Chauncey Scissum of Rush Henrietta jumping 47-6 and Webster Schroeder FRESHMEN Jimmy Shih jumping 45-7.For the girls Red Creeks Eleonore Grant took 7th with 36-11.5.
In the Pole Vault Warsaw's Karmen Auble took 3rd with a 11-3.
